Our chef patron Scott Philliskirk has over 12 years of experience under his belt.

He began his career at The Cross Scythes, Totley, before making a name for himself at Sheffield's popular Hidden Gem Cafe at Bents Green. Alongside business partner Ben Stazi, Scott has been Chef Patron back at the Cross Scythes (where the duo coincidentally first met) since 2018.


Scott has a passion for fine dining and food presentation; his catering experience spans everything from intimate tasting menu dinners to larger scale catering and black tie events at venues including Buxton's Devonshire Dome.

Scott takes great care when developing menus and enjoys working with clients

to develop the best possible menu for their requirements.

Ben has worked in the hospitality industry his entire career since the age of 16 (he doesn't want to tell you his current age). From running busy bars, pubs and restaurants to working for a premier UK drinks company, Ben has done it all.

Ben's vast knowledge and experience of the industry means that clients can rest assured their event will run smoothly - plus he makes a mean cocktail!

Jamie has been cheffing for 12 years, starting as an apprentice at the Cross Scythes at Totley (you might be seeing a pattern emerging here!). Jamie has also flexed his culinary muscles at other popular Sheffield establishments including The Beauchief, Yankees and La Vaca.

Jamie's biggest passion is baking and he loves nothing more than whipping up sweet treats in the kitchen to delight even the most discerning palates.
